Diablo is, with their literally heavy sound, one of the flagships of Finnish metal. The more accurate genres for this metal band are melodic death metal and trash metal. Diablo states - among others - Slayer, Metallica, Opeth, Meshuggah to be their influences.

Diablo's 4th studio album Mimic47 reached #1 spot on the Finnish music charts in 2006 and their next album Icaros managed to get #2 two years later. They toured Europe with Children of Bodom and Cannibal Corpse in 2009 and were playing before Metallica in 2007 at Helsinki.

Currently the band is - according to rumours - working on their 6th album.
