Kingston Wall played psychedelic and progressive rock music in the 90's. Petri Walli was interested in Indian culture and brought Indian influences to the music of the band. Kingston Wall is considered a cult band in Finland and still, almost twenty years after breaking up, receives fans.
Kingston Wall left for a pause of an unknown time span in December 1994. Six months later the singer Petri Walli committed suicide by jumping from a church tower in Helsinki and the tale of Kingston Wall was over.
The band's influence on Finnish music is not to be underestimated. It has received tribute cover from such bands as The Rasmus and Amorphis.
